Client Background

The Nest is a wellness practice founded by Carlie Hickson, RMT, specializing in holistic manual therapy for people in their childbearing years, infants, and families. The business emphasizes a safe, inclusive, and professional care environment.

Project Goals

  • Develop a professional e-commerce website to represent The Nest’s holistic and research-based approach to care.

  • Translate the visual identity into a clean, nurturing, and grounded online presence.

  • Support marketing with social media graphics and brand integration tools.

Scope of Work

As outlined in the project agreement:

  • E-commerce website design & development

  • Social media graphics package

  • Brand fonts and colours integrated into Canva templates

  • Basic SEO setup, including:

    • SEO plugin installation and configuration

    • Google Analytics integration

    • Website traffic tracking plugin

Design & Branding

Using the custom style guide:

  • Color Palette: Earth tones and calming blues/greens with accent warm hues for CTAs.

  • Typography: Playfair Display, Kontora Light, Avenir Light, and Droid Serif for a balance of trust, professionalism, and modern readability.

  • Logo & Elements: Three overlapping circles with a crescent womb, symbolizing wholeness, fertility, and safety.
